12 Days of Mushrooms
As we pass the winter solstice and look back on a fungi-filled autumn, here’s a fun reimagining of the 12 days of Christmas for all of you mycophiles.
On the first day of autumn the forest gave to me, a cauliflower under a tree.
On the second day of autumn the forest gave to me, two king boletes and a cauliflower under a tree.
On the third day of autumn the forest gave to me, three hedgehogs, two king boletes and a cauliflower under a tree.
On the fourth day of autumn the forest gave to me, four candy caps, three hedgehogs, two king boletes and a cauliflower under a tree.
On the fifth day of autumn the forest gave to me, five gold chanterelles, four candy caps, three hedgehogs, two king boletes and a cauliflower under a tree.
