Seattle-area foraging and mushroom tour

Join us for a guided spring foraging and mushroom-finding walk in the Seattle area. We’ll walk 2–3 miles through mixed conifer forest, learning to spot, identify, late winter mushrooms and maybe some spring nettles.

What to Expect
- A 2–3 mile walk along easy trails with some off-trail walking
- Hands-on identification of late winter mushrooms
- Discussion of ecology, edibility, and sustainable harvesting
- Tips for finding your own spots this coming spring
- Take home whatever we find together
What to Bring
- Comfortable walking shoes or boots
- Rain jacket and warm layers
- Something for carrying nettles, and any mushrooms you might want to bring home. It’s still early for commonly foraged spring mushrooms
- Water and snacks
- A small folding knife (optional)
Weather Policy: Tours run rain or shine in typical Pacific Northwest weather. Tour may be canceled due to unsafe conditions or limited interest with reshedule or refund options
Exact Meetup Location: Provided to registered participants 24–48 hours before the tour. General area is the greater Seattle area.
Age & Fitness: Suitable for all ages comfortable with light trail walking. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
