Notes
The Elm Oyster is often mistaken for Pleurotus ostreatus (the true Oyster mushroom) but has a distinct central stipe (stem) that differentiates it from other Oyster species. This mushroom can be found growing on dead or dying hardwood trees, particularly elm, but also on maple and beech. Elm Oyster is not as widely cultivated as Pleurotus species, but its cultivation requirements are similar
