Turkey Tail is a widespread and well-known polypore mushroom, easily recognizable by its striking, concentric, multicolored zones. Found growing on dead or decaying hardwood logs, stumps, and branches, Turkey Tail is one of the most common fungi in the world. Although not considered a choice edible mushroom due to its tough, leathery texture, Turkey Tail is highly valued for its medicinal properties. It contains bioactive compounds, such as polysaccharopeptide (PSP) and polysaccharide-K (PSK), which are known to have immune-boosting capabilities
