Most mushroom guides and identification keys are organized such that one starts by choosing a spore color, then working down through other features individually. This guide improves on this in a few ways
1) I started by filtering by simple features like size, season, abundance, and habitat
2) I allowed for broad groups or genera, like Lepiota, Gymnopilus, and Pholiota
3) The remaining mushrooms are then grouped by possible veil (yes/no), gill attachment (free/attached), and spore color
