# MycoMatch Privacy Policy

MycoMatch is designed as an offline educational mushroom identification reference. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information from users of the app.

## Information We Do Not Collect

MycoMatch does not require an account and does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, photos, contacts, identifiers, usage analytics, advertising data, or diagnostic data.

## On-Device Preferences

The app may save settings and preferences on your device, such as display options, selected category, search field choices, or whether the splash screen has been dismissed. These preferences are stored locally on your device and are not sent to MycoMatch or any server controlled by us.

You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device, or by using any reset or clear-data options provided by your operating system.

## External Links

MycoMatch may provide links that open external websites, such as Wikipedia, Google Images, iNaturalist, or other mushroom reference sites. Those websites are not operated by MycoMatch. If you choose to visit an external website, that site’s privacy policy and data practices apply.

## Third-Party Services

MycoMatch does not include advertising, tracking, or analytics services. We are not responsible for data collected directly by Apple, Google, or other platform providers as part of app distribution, purchases, device services, or operating-system-level diagnostics.

## Children’s Privacy

MycoMatch does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

## Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app’s data practices change. Any updates will be posted with a new effective date.
