Oregon’s Lakes

Over the past couple days we’ve been walking through Oregon’s Three Sisters Wilderness and I have fallen in love with the area. In my head I affectionately refer to it as “Oregon’s Lake District,” specifically the roughly 50 miles between Odell Lake to Elk lake, miles 1907-1953 on the PCT.

Over these miles we have seen dozens of picturesque ponds, lakes, swimming holes, and fishing spots. I can’t wait to come back to explore this area even more slowly in the future. Here are just a few photos from this magical place.

  • Entropy: Final trail days

As we approach our final days on the trail our gear and bodies are starting to show the wear and tear of nearly five months of walking. After deciding to skip the High Sierra (for now -we’ll be back for it someday!) we were very happy to spend about a week in Sacramento with friends (thank you Virginia, Matt, Emmitt, and Fiona for hosting and letting us turn a 2 night stay into six days!). While there we determined our next starting point…
